When Art Speaks
'Mixed Emotions,' is the title for my upcoming art show August 17- 31 2023 in Watkinsville Georgia. I think that choosing the right title for a show is more difficult than creating the art, it is for me anyway, because I'd like for the onlookers to form their own opinion, feel their own vibe and be entertained by their private thoughts. I love abstract because it allows for all of the above and gives me creative license to sway and dance through color, shape, texture and subject matter. James Baldwin said "To be African American is to be African without any memory and American without any privilege." - I AM HERE will not be silenced!
